The band's van, Major Tom, is in desperate need of repairs! The catalytic converters (there are 4 catalysts on 2 great big converters underneath the van) are all shot! They're rusted, full of holes, and plugged. Tom is actually eating the planet with his high emissions! We've gotten several estimates from area mechanics and the cost to repair the van sits around $1,800!!! We're hoping to be able to buy the parts ourselves for about $600 and then find someone willing to install them for us. For now, however, Tom sits unable to be driven. He stalls, backfires, and can barely get up to low speed limits. We could really use some help to get him back on the road! Got some spare change?
